Lady Highlanders (Girls Varsity)

2016 Summary
The Lady Highlanders started their season in style winning the D2 Bracket at the Prezfest where many of our new players featured in their first ever game. Following on from that positive start the squad had to overcome two season ending injuries to two key players. New and veteran players stepped up and combined to ensure that they only lost one league match and played with great grit and determination in the state final versus Kent. Despite these valiant efforts the team were only able to claim the runner up title. Personal performances were rewarded however with our largest number of players being selected on the WA State Loggers Squad (All Star Team). We are now looking forward to a great summer sevens season and some off season recruiting and planning for next spring.
