Why Join Rainier Junior Rugby?

There are other youth rugby clubs in the region for you to consider but what makes Rainier different and an excellent option for those living in our typical catchment area of South King & Pierce Counties include:

 Culture

Our club is extremely proud of our tight-knit, family atmosphere and culture, which is developed partially by all of our teams practicing at a single location on the same nights of the week.

Open to All

Our welcoming and inclusive attitude reflects the club’s commitment to Inclusion and Diversity. At our club we committed to providing a safe and respectful environment to all of our players and volunteer staff. We have a diverse organization, and we value each member’s uniqueness. Equally important is to welcome any girl or boy who wishes to participate regardless of their family’s ability to pay the designated player membership fees.

We offer teams for all ages

We are one of the few clubs in the region that offers the opportunity for girls and boys to start playing when in 1st grade and remain with the club until they graduate from High School. Large families with siblings of various ages and genders commonly take advantage of our sibling discount program and can effectively manage their kids schedules while playing for the same club.

Proven Success & Consistency

The club which was founded in 2008 has been at the forefront of the development of youth rugby in the region and consistently develop successful teams and individual rugby players. Many of our Alumni have played in professional, national, collegiate and club rugby teams throughout the country.

Coaching

Our coaching staff is the heartbeat of the club, and are all unpaid volunteers who we are proud to share their various experience in playing rugby and the unique traditions and expectations of being a rugby player, and also caring for their players as individuals. Our staff features a large mix of experience and much like all of the players they are constantly developing their skills and techniques.

Equally critical are our parent volunteers who fulfill a variety of roles to assist each season to integrate and help new and returning players and parents to ensure that they have a fulfilling and worthwhile experience.

Executive Board Oversight

The club has an experienced group of volunteers who ensure that the standards, expectations, stability and financial management of the clubs’ operations are always maintained and ensure the continued success of the club.
